I used a pretty floral print cotton for the exterior of the casual pleated tote bag. The flower design is from a line of fabrics called Secret Garden. It's a lovely multicolor print of pinks, greens and cream with an unusual tannish brown background. I fully lined it with a companion fabric from the same line that picks up the pink tones. This tote bag has no pockets and no closure. Great for a knitting or sewing project bag it would also work sell for a market type tote.
This bag is interlined with fusible interfacing and fleece. It is still a soft and floppy style of bag.
Bag body measures about 16" wide, 12" tall and 3" deep at the base. The pleating at the top makes the top much smaller only 12" wide.
The straps measure about 1" wide 27" long with a drop, from the top curve of the strap to the top of the bag, of 13". Very comfortable for wearing over the arm and shoulder.
Care: hand wash cool, tumble dry low, iron as needed with an iron set to cotton.
